What You Need To Know About The All-New 2019 Ford Ranger

When you think of a capable and dependable truck, Ford instantly comes to mind. Whether it’s work or play, onboarding or off-roading, you need a truck that gets the job done. Ford has consistently designed trucks that deliver on power, torque, towing capacity and style. Now, with the all-new 2019 Ford Ranger, you get even more than what you’d expect. Before you purchase your next truck, there are some key things you need to know about the Ford Ranger and learn why it’s perfect for you and your needs.

Model Options and Specification Highlights

The Ranger is available in 3 model options: XL, XLT and Lariat. No matter which model is best for you, you can count on increased fuel economy and torque. Each model offers an estimated city/highway standard of 11.8/9.8 L/100 km. Each model also has a torque capacity of 310 lb/ft and is equipped with a 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost engine to maximize engine capability and fuel longevity. With EcoBoost, the Ranger preserves fuel by shutting off the engine when the vehicle is stopped for an amount of time. Once you begin to accelerate, the engine turns back on again. And the Ranger has the impressive capability of 270 horsepower, too.

Each Ranger model is standard with 4×4 capability, electronic power-assist steering and independent front suspension. Its 10-speed automatic transmission is guaranteed to deliver fast power and smooth shifting when you drive.

The sturdy exterior is designed to handle rugged terrains and withstand heavy towing loads – up to 7,500 lbs, to be exact. You can further customize your Ranger’s appearance with available chrome exterior accents, running boards, grille options and more.

Terrain Management System and Trail Control

No matter where the adventure takes you next, you can depend on your Ford Ranger to get you to it and through it. With its Terrain Management System, the Ranger gives you the option of switching between 4 different terrain driving modes for sand, mud/ruts, grass/gravel/snow and normal, even terrain. Each mode automatically calibrates engine responsiveness, transmission gearing and vehicle control systems, so you always know that you’ll be driving through any terrain.

Trail Control is also especially helpful when adventure takes you off-roading. Trail Control is designed to help through rugged terrain with low traction. It will maintain your selected speed up to 32 km/h and will even distribute necessary torque to each individual wheel, so your only focus will be to steer.

Safety

The 2019 Ford Ranger comes with a suite of standard and available safety features to ensure that your adventures are just as safe as they are fun. Along with all the expected standard safety features, rear view camera, trailer sway control, roll stability control and curve control all come standard, too. Curve control assists the driver while travelling on winding roads while roll stability control helps with driving on rugged, uneven terrains. Each Ford Ranger model also comes standard with SecuriLock Passive Anti-Theft and SOS Post-Crash Alert, so you and your truck are always actively protected.

If you’re looking for added safety, a perimeter anti-theft alarm and remote keyless entry system are available for the Ford Ranger.

You’ll feel confident knowing that the Ranger is back by Ford’s comprehensive warranty packages. Below is a list of all warranties your Ranger will provide:
