For example, the Ford Escape can travel up to roughly 60 kilometers on electric power alone. However, most PHEVs have a longer range than Electric vehicles because they contain larger batteries and require a plug to allow you to charge it to full capacity. At a level 1 charge, the Ford Escape PHEV will take around 11 hours to fully charge or 3 hours for a level 2 charge.
